It isn't the technique that stops people. It's the thought of what happens if your hand slips.
The groin has soft, mobile skin and uneven contours, and an ordinary beard trimmer is built for a face — flat surfaces, firm backing. That's why so many men either reach for a razor and get irritation, or skip it altogether.

Ceramic blades with rounded tips
Rounded blade tips mean there's no sharp corner to catch the skin as you draw the trimmer across an uneven surface. That's the detail that decides whether a body trimmer feels safe to use or not.
Ceramic also has a property steel doesn't: it doesn't heat up the same way. A steel blade running for several minutes warms noticeably, and on thin skin you feel it. Ceramic stays cooler throughout.
The blades are replaceable, so the trimmer outlasts its first blade.

Your first time
- Start with a longer guide than you think you want. You can always go shorter — not the other way round.
- Trim on dry skin the first time, so you can see what you're doing.
- Pull the skin taut with your free hand. Slack skin is the most common reason things go wrong.
- Use short, unhurried strokes against the direction of growth. Let the trimmer do the work without pressing.
- Rinse the blade and brush it clean afterwards. A few drops of oil now and then keeps it running smoothly.
Always use a length guide on the groin. Without one the blade sits directly against the skin, and that's where accidents happen.

Frequently asked questions
Can you cut yourself with it?
The blade tips are rounded, which is exactly what reduces the risk when skin is soft and uneven. Always use a length guide on the groin, pull the skin taut with your free hand and don't press — do that and the risk is small.
Which length guide should I start with?
The longest. You can always go shorter afterwards, but you can't go back. Most people settle on a shorter guide after a couple of goes, once they know how the result looks.
Can I use it in the shower?
No. It's water-resistant so the blade can be rinsed clean under the tap, but it isn't made to be submerged or used while you shower.
How quiet is it, really?
Considerably quieter than a standard hair clipper, with little vibration in the hand. It shows most in a bathroom with thin walls, or when someone else is asleep.
Can it be used on a beard too?
Yes, it works on the beard line. But it's built for the softer contours of the body first — if beards are your main concern, there are trimmers made specifically for that.
How do I look after the blade?
Brush away the hair after each use and rinse the blade under the tap. A few drops of the supplied oil every couple of weeks keeps it running smoothly. The blade is replaceable when it's worn.

Email kund@kvalio.se with your order number within 14 days of receiving your parcel, and we'll send you return instructions. You're welcome to open the packaging and examine the product just as you would in a shop. If it has been handled beyond that, we may deduct for any reduction in value.
You cover the cost of return shipping. As soon as the parcel reaches us, your money is back on the same payment method within 14 days. For hygiene reasons, products with a broken seal cannot be returned, and the same applies to special orders.
